    NOISE BARRIERS

    A noise barrier is something that blocks airborne noise (e.g. voices, television, running water, traffic noise, lawnmower, etc.) For Airborne Noise, we recommend using our AMERICAN MLV STANDARD which will reduce sound such as voices, TV's, etc. It comes in rolls that are 48” wide and 25’ long, and weigh 100 lbs per roll. The rolls are also available in 54" widths.

    Flooring Underlayments reduce impact noise between floors. They may be used under carpet, tile, ceramic and hardwood floors. We suggest using one of our flooring underlayments.


    STRUCTURAL NOISE

    Structural noise is more difficult to contain. By structural noise, we mean sounds that make your walls and windows rattle, such as trains, bass music, etc.

    This type of noise requires that you isolate the sound source by breaking its path. Designers of music studios accomplish this by creating a “room within a room”.

    This may not be practical for everyone, so we emulate this using GREEN GLUE.

    All of our soundproofing products can be added to existing wall and floor surfaces. They do not require ripping out of walls. After adding our noise control products to your walls, they may be painted, and wall papering or other custom wall finishes can be added. The end result will be a room in which you can enjoy your home theater and play or listen to your music as loud as you like.
